Safe Harbor owners celebrate 35 years of Marriage!

Ed and Melinda Nava of Longmont will celebrate 35 years of marriage on Dec. 29. They were married in 1979 at Calvary Chapel in Downey, Calif.

Ed worked as Colorado State Field and Event Volunteer Manager for Promise Keepers International Men's Ministry. Ed currently serves as owner/operator for Safe Harbor Assisted Living, along with his wife, Melinda, in Longmont, and executive director of the nonprofit In The Master's Steps, as well as Men's Ministry Alliance Leader of Northern Colorado.

Melinda serves as founding director of In The Master's Steps, as well as owner/operator of Safe Harbor Assisted Living. The couple plan to open a 35-bed nursing home in Northern Colorado in the near future.

Ed and Melinda celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary with a trip to Italy. They enjoy trips to Estes Park, world travel, family reunions and serving the elderly.

The couple has two sons, Mark, with his wife Bridget and their son Preston, and daughters Tori and Lucy; and Jason with his wife Jolene. Both daughter-in-laws are expecting babies for next spring/summer 2015.

Ed and Melinda plan on vacationing to Hawaii and Spain next year.
